No Accident.....

I've always, always believed this! Whenever someone comes into my life I know that there is a reason, a lesson to be learned, a heart to help or a way to share past experiences that just might be the very thing someone needs to move forward. This could be for them, or it could very well be for me.

Walking gently on this earth is more than just traveling along trying to figure out what we need to learn along the way, it's also being mindful of others traveling their journeys. If we rush past an opportunity to experience the lesson or meaning being placed before us then we will either destine ourselves to repeat the lesson or we will miss out on an opportunity that could have changed the whole way our journey would have be walked.

Learning to slow down, observe and see what is right before our eyes is a difficult lesson to learn in a world filled with so many distractions.

The next time someone passes your way make an effort to slow down and see if this is a divine opportunity to lift you higher. And, if your lucky it could very well be a divine opportunity to lift someone else higher too.

Choose Kindness....

Can we talk? I mean really talk, not just about surface stuff that really has no meaning, but about the important things that have the potential to change life's.......

Why is it that so many people walk through life "thinking" choosing kindness as a lifestyle doesn't pertain to me, I am very kind to others! But, truth be told, they are not. You know the people I mean, the ones that if you manage to "fit" into their little box of whats acceptable to them, THEN they will treat you with kindness.

So often, it feels, that people forget that we are each on our own personal journey through life. It seems these "chosen" ones believe that if you aren't following their particular path and believing with all your heart what they are choosing to believe (and while they're at it, trying to force you to believe), you are somehow flawed, broken or even downright evil. They make it clear to you that way you are living your life and how you are choosing to walk your path will most certainly destine you to spending your eternity in hell. 

These are the same people that say they base how they treat others on love......hmmmmm.....Seriously? 

I guess I can't understand why we can't all just get along. Why do I have to believe the way you do in order to earn your kindness? Why do I need to dress like you or worship like you? 

I don't know why God has given me a different message than he has give you. But I do know the difference between me and them is that I don't question God's reasons. I can easily accept that we all have different paths to walk, different truths to believe, different lessons to learn. God's plan for my life will always be different from His plan for yours. 

Kindness should never be based on religious or political belief's, kindness should never be based on the color of your skin, the language you speak or social standing. Kindness should never be based on how one chooses to worship. We should all strive to spread kindness regardless of these things. 

Kindness should be a lifestyle.....choose to make it yours today! 

Go Ahead, Be Crazy!

WOW! I just found this on Facebook and it really hit me.......this statement is so true!

Stop and think about all the people you see who are content to muddle through their days with their heads stuck securely in the sand, don't ask questions, don't expect better and by all means, don't rock the boat! Just keep your head down and get through the day unnoticed by whatever means you need to accomplish this daily goal.....period, exclamation point!

Is it any wonder why people who are striving to attain wisdom, consciousness and an understanding about why we are REALLY here and what we REALLY need to accomplish during this life appear crazy?

Why is is that some days its so hard to put one foot in front of the other? Some days the world just doesn't seem quite so colorful. People preoccupied with daily chores rush by without a smile to be had.....

We fall into line like good little soldiers, not bothering to look left or right, not up or even down. Just rushing through our daily routine allowing unproductive thoughts to overtake us, thinking the end of the day cannot come to soon.

Hearing that little voice in the back of my mind reminding me that it is up to me to change the picture of this day! To look around and see the wonder and beauty I am neglecting to notice. 

I hold the magic to shift the world from black and white to amazing color! I can change not only my day but the day of others with nothing more than my attitude! All so simply by bringing a smile back to my face and a reason for moving forward in thankfulness.
